Our network for Starlink Internet
Construction of our network infrastructure began when we laid the power cables and water pipe from the pump house to the house. One of the conduits was someday to contain Ethernet cables for the network, which would be hooked up to our Starlink antenna.
This phase had long been longed for because while we lived in the triler we used a phone hot spot or a neighbor's guest network, neither of which was reliable. So planning for a network connection from the Starlink antenna to a router in my office had gone on for as long as we lived in the travel trailer. We were adamant that we would have a reliable Internet connection.
After we had the Starlink service in the trailer, David dug a trench from east of the driveway to the garage. This was just a first step in routing cable through the garage and through the conduit to his office. So there was a pole and a conduit part way as soon as it was possible.
As soon as we had the 150 ft Starlink extension cable, our electrical contractor (a savior throughout our project) took it through the garage to meet with two Ethernet cables running in the conduit from the garage to my office. The Starlink router lives in the garage and connects through the Ethernet adapter to the cables that go to my office. We planned this from our first discussions with our electrician and it worked perfectly.
